Student Philosophy

How do you equip students to have an authentic every day faith that sticks beyond high school?

LINKING ARMS WITH PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS

We believe parents/caregivers are the number one influence in the lives of their students so we equip you with resources to continue conversations of authentic faith at home. Check out our weekly newsletters for dinner time conversation starters and tons of other resources. To learn more of what your student learns each week including ways to have international faith conversations at home during the week within your natural family rhythm, download the Parent Cue App. Search for Storehouse Church.

PLACING CONSISTENT SMALL GROUP LEADERS IN THE LIVES OF KIDS

While parents and caregivers are the number one influence, they aren’t the only influence. We want to surround students with caring adults who will speak truth into their lives as well. We believe faith is passed relationally and these leaders pass along the truths of Jesus Christ as they intentionally invest in the lives of students. We do this by showing up in their lives on Wednesdays, Sundays and in everyday life.

Adult volunteers are required to complete and pass all Pennsylvania required clearances, including the Child Abuse History clearance and the PA State Police Criminal check. Volunteers are also trained annually as mandated reporters.

ENCOURAGE ALL KIDS TO BE PART OF A SMALL GROUP

We believe students thrive when surrounded by friends who are learning and practicing faith with each other. We invite students to wrestle with the hard topics, ask the difficult questions and sit in the tensions as together we journey in our faith walk. We want students to have an identity rooted in Jesus, know they belong with God and with the church and they have a distinct purpose in their lives that is exhibited as they serve others.

PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO LIVE OUT THEIR SENT NATURE BY SERVING OTHERS

We believe tangible ways to live out faith helps cement beliefs as more than just a collection of stories and ideas. Students develop an authentic, everyday faith when they experience all that God can do through them as they serve others. We build intentional time of serving others in our community into our ministry.
