First Look: Infant to Pre-K

Do you remember Lite Brite?! Placing pegs to create a picture that lit up?! This month, we’re talking about  a different kind of bright light. We’re talking about THE light that God sent into the world to shine bright for all the world to see. And THIS light has a name. His name is Jesus! Each time we chose to love like Jesus, we become a bright light. Just like each LiteBritepeg lights up to make a picture, each and every act of love is a bright light that makes a beautiful picture for the world to see Jesus.  We’ll hear stories of the man at the pool (John 5:1-9), the new command Jesus gives (John 13:34-35) and Tabitha Helps (Acts 9:36-42)
Key Question: Who can love like Jesus?
Bottom Line: I can love like Jesus.
Memory Verse: “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14, NIrV

252 Elementary: Grades K-1

This month our elementary kiddos will learn that they can SHINE BRIGHT by showing compassion. When we show compassion to others we bring glory to God and we let our light shine.  They’ll hear stories of:
Jesus feeding 5,000 (John 6:1-13), Jesus Healing Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52) and wrap up with the truth that Jesus is THE light of the world (John 8:12)!
Monthly Verse: “Let  your light shine so others can see it. Then they will  see the good things you do. And they will bring glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16, NIrV
Virtue: Compassion- caring enough to do something about someone else’s needs.
