Join us as we partner with the Coalition to Save Lives to serve our unhoused neighbors in Norristown on Saturday, September 19th! Together we’ll share food, clothing, prayer, and love with those in need—it’s a family-friendly opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Full Event Description *
Coalition to Save Lives serves the unhoused population of Norristown. Every Saturday you will find a group of individuals feeding, praying, and loving individuals near the Transportation Center on Swede Street.
Date: Saturday September 19
Time: 10:30am – 2:30pm. Set up begins at 10:30am, doors open to guests at 12pm, and cleanup is 2-2:30pm.
Meeting place: 201 Swede Street, Norristown, PA 19401. The Coalition to Save Lives is located on the corner of Lafayette and Swede in a red face building. Please park in any regular open spot in Swede, or along Lafayette in front of the MCIU building. The front door is on Swede.
Activity: We will feed approximately 150-200 people who are hungry, clothe those in need, and share prayer and communion.
Supplies needed: Bringing a food item (hot dish or side, snack, or dessert) and/or gently used clothing would be great. Kate Nagele will circulate a sign up sheet 2 weeks in advance. Please note there is not a kitchen onsite (yet!).
Age restrictions: This is a kid friendly serving opportunity! Coalition to Save Lives asks that any children serve alongside their parent.
